2008 Rosé

Our versatile line-up of food friendly wines is led by our dry Rosé - a blend of Syrah and Viognier from Forgotten Hills Vineyard.  This wine spent less time on skins than in 2006 or 2007, so the color is much lighter and pinker.  We prefer to drink this wine very cold during the hot summer months, and it has become a great wine to pair with numerous types of cuisine.  The aromatics and flavors remind us of a watermelon-flavored Jolly Rancher, accompanied by rhubarb, strawberries and a hint of black licorice. Because of the distinct terroir of Forgotten Hills Vineyard, there is also subdued earthiness in the interesting layers of this wine. This is a French style rosé with no residual sugar - crisp, dry, refreshing, delicious.
