Pepper Bridge is one of the oldest vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley, planted along elevated terrace islands formed by slack water drainage from the Walla Walla River. These terrace islands sit above the valley floor, which helps maximize air flow and heat units in the vineyard. Settled into its terroir, this vineyard is dependable year after year for its balance of fruit, spice and acidity, producing what we consider to be classic Syrah.
This is a big, spicy, fruity wine with a round mouth-feel and long finish. Your senses will percolate with a nose full of dried red fruits, orange peel, strawberries, rhubarb, mushrooms, truffles, wet rocks, juicy blueberries, spices, cloves and a hint of creamy vanilla. How’s that for layers and complexity?! The lush, fruity mid-palate transforms into a soft, quiet finish that tends to linger in the front of the mouth rather than the back or in the throat. This more unique structure makes this a great food-pairing wine.
