Sean Boyd

With a background in engineering—specifically in oil and gas exploration—Sean’s decision to pursue winemaking seems an interesting choice. However, the intense travel schedule of Sean’s previous career, and the arrival of his daughter Marlee, led Sean and his wife Annie to look for a change of pace. Also inspired by what was happening in Walla Walla, they moved to town for harvest 2005 and Sean began working for Waters.

If you ask Sean to describe what he does at the winery, he’ll tell you, “a little of everything!” That includes assisting Jamie with winemaking, updating the mailing list, coordinating all the shipping and pouring wine for guests in the tasting room. Sean’s great palate and his incredible work ethic are essential to our efforts! Outside of wine making, Sean is first and foremost a family man. Annie is a part time psychologist at Walla Walla’s historic Sharpstein grade school, Marlee is a very busy toddler and Bridget joined the family in November 2007!
